AIA
New Jersey has many organizations that is works with
as part of fulfilling the goal of serving the public
needs and building awareness of the role of architects
and architecture, here are links to a few of these
organizations:
AIA National
AIA
New Jersey is a region and chapter of AIA National
organization. AIA New Jersey's members are members
of the national organization, we have representatives
on the national board. Just as AIA New Jersey serves
the needs of architects and the public in New Jersey;
AIA National serves these needs across the country,
including issues that effect architects in front of
Congress and other government agencies, implementation
of a national advertising campaign to promote architecture,
and hosting of the annual National Convention.

NCARB
The
National Council of Architectural Registration Boards
is the organization that

Develops and recommends standards to be required of
an applicant for architectural registration
* Develops and recommends standards regulating the
practice of architecture
* Provides a process to member boards for certifying
the qualifications of an architect for registration
* Represents the interests of member boards before
public and private agencies

State Board of Architects
The
State Board of Architects if the department of the
state that regulates and licenses architects and landscape
architects in New Jersey.

NJIT
New
Jersey Institute of Technology is one of the two architecture
schools in New Jersey. With accreditated programs
for both bachelors and masters programs in architecture
AIA-NJ works closely with the school because they
are training the architects of tomorrow.

Princeton
Princeton
University is one of the two architecture schools
in New Jersey. With accreditated programs for receipt
of a masters degree in architecture AIA-NJ works closely
with the school because they are training the architects
of tomorrow.
